Work Barter - Working with Community

Wisteria is an amazing community and we are always looking for new members or old friends. We would love for you to join us to make this magical community stronger and grow.

The magic that is a Wisteria event would not be possible without the generous assistance of our volunteers in food service, first aid, security, and many other departments.

This year, Wisteria is offering an extremely limited amount of work barter slots  Autumn FiresWork barter applications for Appalachian Summer Solstice are due by May 20th, 2021 and applications for Autumn Fires are due by September 1st, 2021.

Wisteria offers a work barter program for free entry into an event. As a volunteer, you also receive first choice of camping spots, free early entry, and other perks. In exchange, we ask work barter volunteers to arrive the day or evening before events begin, show up on time for their 4 to 5 hour daily shifts, and stay through the last day of the event. While the volunteer experience is a commitment, it also provides a deeper connection with the community and the opportunity to be part of a great team facilitating a fantastic festival experience. Apply here to become a work barter volunteer at Autum Fires.

If you don’t want to make the work barter commitment but still wish to lend a hand for a few hours during an event, we’d welcome your help. Contact Jess at volunteer@wisteria.org for more information.

In addition to work barter at events, Wisteria also hosts occasional work weekends throughout the year. Don’t let the name fool you, these are the most fun some of us have all year!

Please note that this year we require separate applications for each event that you would like to volunteer for. By completing and submitting a work barter application you agree to the requirements listed in the application. If you have any questions, please send us your questions at volunteer@wisteria.org
